I love playing with different media like paint, thread, and paper. I think it's important to stay curious and experiment with new things; ultimately, it helps me stay creative and inspired. These are some of the ways I play.

Mixed-Media paintings

I absolutely adore working with mixed media. The endless possibilities of combining acrylics, collage, paint markers and colored pencils is a dream come true for me. Each medium brings its unique texture and dimension to the piece, allowing me to create one-of-a-kind works of art. The layering process is like a puzzle, and I love experimenting with different combinations and techniques.

hand-bound sketchbooks

Hand-making my sketchbooks is one of my favorite pastimes. The process of selecting different types of paper, like watercolor paper, newsprint and vintage used paper excites me. The result is always unique and one-of-a-kind, and there is something genuinely satisfying about knowing that I have created a valuable tool for my art.

I love experimenting in my hand-bound sketchbooks and playing with different techniques and mediums. Some pages have detailed illustrations, while others feature quick sketches, doodles or color palettes. The completed sketchbook is not just a collection of drawings; it's a visual diary of my creative process.

Art journaling

Art journaling allows me to express myself freely without judgment or pressure to produce a finished product. It is a space where I can explore my thoughts and emotions. Combining mental relaxation and artistic experimentation makes art journaling a powerful tool for self-care and personal growth.

artist’s books

Artist's books are a unique form of artistic expression combining visual art, literature and bookmaking elements. Unlike traditional books, which are primarily focused on conveying information through text, artists’ books are made to communicate an artistic concept or idea through a combination of text and image.

There is something truly magical about creating a book that is not simply a vessel for information but rather a work that tells a story or explores a theme. The tactile nature of these books, where one can feel the pages, enhances the experience of interacting with the piece. These books represent the ultimate practice of combining form and content to create a truly unique work of art.

Cloth creatures

I love making cloth creatures. Selecting and repurposing recycled textiles is just as exciting as sewing and embroidering the doll. I love adding pops of color by using vibrant threads, buttons and beads. Each doll I make has a history from its previous life as a textile, making the finished creature all the more meaningful.
